“Wyatt Amend is a young, emerging sculptor – part of the next generation of energetic and vital artists – who will inform and impact the creative community. Amend’s new series of works in clay demonstrate his daring approach to traditional materials and his ability to exploit form to achieve personal expression. Amend deploys the conventional container of the goblet – here perforated and sculpturally altered – to challenge issues of functionality and to contain commentary on social customs and rituals.
